Rani Khanam has promoted Indian classical dance amongst the youth through her lecture demonstrations & workshops throughout India in many educational institutions under the auspices of Spic Macay, I.C.C.R. SangeetNatak Academy& India international rural cultural centre & abroad mainly in U.K, South Korea, Malaysia,Netherlands & USA.
Workshops:Workshop on Kathak & Sufiana Compositions in Kathak is conducted by Rani Khanam herself for the professional & beginner dancers, the workshop is designed into two modules:-
I. Introductory Interactive Session
II. Intensive Training SessioN
(a) Understanding the taals, Kathak's techniques and its improvisations
(b) Understanding the Sufi poetry & Literature (Sahitya) to enhance the thought process
(c) Understanding the expression (Bhav) & Its improvisations
On the completion of the workshop, each participant will be given digitally recorded music (Kathak & Sufiana Items) that can be utilized for professional performance.
